Hi Crowd!
Funny thing I just did in the year 2026 of the common era, I set up my Twitter account. As a reminder twttr became Twitter which then became X, and apparently somewhere in there the trademark for “Twitter” has been challenged and a new company called Operation Bluebird have (re)launched Twitter at dotnow instead of dotcom. X Corp has sued, but it’s still in action and in the meantime TwitterDotNow is open for business. And business it is, a founder account costs $20, a fighter account costs $40. I threw in for $40. With that I got some badges, a chronological timeline, and a built in fact checker which promises to rank accounts based on the factuality of claims they make and news they post. This seems like a pretty nice change from the cesspool of bullshit some other sites have become. I noted that almost 20 years ago (June 2006) I set up my twttr account and immediately got flagged by the fact checker for posting fake news. Because apparently the fact checking machine thinks it’s currently 2016.
So it might need some work. Anyway, if you want to make sure you get your username of choice on the new(old) Twitter, heads up.
In one of my recent notes I mentioned that I was going hipster PDA with some notecards and a pen to help keep track of things better and you’ll be glad to know that in the last week I had a few things come up that I thought were super important and or interesting and I needed to make sure to write about for you but you’ll be sad to know that instead of writing them down like I knew I should have I thought they were so important or interesting that I’d just remember them and of course as I sit here writing to you I can’t remember what any of them were. So that’s a fail.
I’m really excited about The Fermentation Project and have my kit in hand already. tl;dr – fermentation is an important step in coffee production and James Hoffman & Lucia Solis decided to pull a Coffee Common style move and take one coffee, ferment it 4 different ways, then partner with roasters all over the world to sell all 4 together as a kit which people can brew at home during a livestream on Oct 3rd. I got a kit roasted by Funk and from my friends at Revolver and if you are a coffee dork or an aspiring one, I recommend finding a somewhat local roaster offering the kit and joining as well. It’s going to be delicious.

Also I guess the US and Canada hate each other now or something? Just what I need, another existential crisis.
